Who We Are

“Bluetide Puerto Rico, Inc. is a 501(c)3, Non-Profit Organization based in Puerto Rico since 2018. Our objective is to plan, design, and implement initiatives to expand Puerto Rico’s and the U.S. Caribbean marine and maritime activities in an integrated and cross-collaborative manner by accelerating the future development of ocean dependent commercial activities.

BLUETIDE supports marine-related specialized jobs by providing technical skills training, capacity building and workforce development. We aid coastal communities by developing capacity for disaster impact mitigation and resilience safeguarding the “Blue Economy” business continuity.

BLUETIDE builds sources of marine-related economic diversification and partnerships for business innovation, incubation and acceleration.

What We Do

BTPR’s objective is to plan, design, and implement  “Blue Economic” innovative initiatives to expand Puerto Rico’s ocean-dependent activities in an integrated and cross-collaborative manner to attain progressive marine and maritime economic research and development into the future, by accelerating ocean reliant commercial activities.

BTPR’s priority is to support the workforce development of specialized jobs by providing capacity building, training, certifications and assistance to coastal communities and fishermen, creating sources of resilient economic diversification. At the same time BTPR offers specialized services and equipment to the private, governmental, academic and non-for-profit sectors.

Get Involved

As a volunteer, member, donor, sponsor, or partner there are many ways for you to get involved in the development of the Blue Economy using Bluetide as a platform. Through competitions, programs, strategic alliances, workshops and courses we want to impact the coastal communities of the US Caribbean.
